The Public Utilities Commission is responsible for the regulation of the Telecommunications Sector in the Bahamas in accordance with the Public Utilities Commission Act, 1993 and the Public Utilities Commission (Amended) Act, 1999. Licences are granted or made available by the Commission in accordance with the Telecommunications Act, 1999.
A listing of these licences along with the annual fees are shown in the table below. All licences expires on it's anniversary date and should be renewed on or before the expiry date. Individuals or companies not wishing to retain a licence should make it known in writing to the Public Utilities Commission prior to the date the licence expires to avoid being invoiced for the ensuing period.
