Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR)-Trunking Licences (Private)SMR or trunking as it is more commonly called, is a two-way radiocommunications system used primarily for dispatch services. The annual fee for this licence is $390. Private Trunking is used primarily by large hotels, construction companies, large enterprises and other companies requiring direct contact with their employees and other affiliates. This service makes it easy and convenient for these companies to stay in contact with personnel who may be making deliveries or located in remote areas within a service area. Governments Agencies and the State are also big users of this type of service where there are many essential services requiring immediate contact with their own agencies or other Government Agencies. An example of this is the Police and the Hospital.
