Citizens of The Bahamas, applying for an amateur radio station licence, must qualify by presenting a minimum standard technical qualifications from a recognized institution. A written application should be made along with the appropriate fee and a copy of the individuals technical qualifications. Proof of citizenship is also a must. Reciprocal Radio Station Licences are also granted to individuals of foreign nationality. Reciprocal Amateur Station Licences are granted to individuals from countries with whom The Bahamas has reciprocal agreements with for the operation of these radio systems in the respective countries. Processing of the reciprocal amateur radio licence normally takes approximately 2 weeks following receipt of all the required information.
